Casement & Awning Windows — Sealed Tight, Opened Wide
Crank-operated windows that press tighter against the weatherstrip under wind pressure, delivering the best air seal and full-opening ventilation.
(945) 229-0300Why Choose Casement & Awning Windows?
Casement windows hinge at the side and swing outward with a crank handle. Awning windows hinge at the top and push out from the bottom. Both styles use a compression seal — the sash presses harder against the weatherstripping as wind increases — making them the tightest-sealing operable window type you can install. In a city where summer wind gusts can hit 50 mph during a thunderstorm downdraft, that matters.
Dallas homeowners choose casement and awning windows for kitchens, bathrooms, above-counter spots, and hard-to-reach locations where a slider or double-hung would be awkward to operate. The crank mechanism lets you open the full sash area, providing 100 % ventilation — twice what a slider offers. On those rare 72-degree Dallas spring mornings, you can actually turn the AC off and let fresh air do the work.
We install casement and awning windows in vinyl, fiberglass, and wood-clad frames. The multi-point locking hardware on our casement lines engages at two or three points along the sash edge, pulling the window snug against the frame for an airtight, secure closure. That multi-point lock also makes casements one of the most burglar-resistant window types available.
Whether you are retrofitting a 1940s Lakewood cottage or finishing a modern addition in the Design District, casement and awning windows give you clean sightlines, slim profiles, and unbeatable performance. Our installation teams handle everything from pulling the old unit to applying interior trim, typically finishing individual windows in under two hours.
Key Benefits
Tightest Air Seal of Any Operable Window
The compression seal design means casement and awning windows actually seal tighter as wind pressure increases — the opposite of sliding windows, which can rattle and leak under gusts.
100 % Ventilation Opening
The entire sash swings open, giving you the full window area for airflow. A double-hung only opens half; a slider only opens half. Casements open it all.
Easy to Operate in Tight Spots
A small crank handle at the base lets you open the window without reaching up or behind obstacles — ideal over kitchen sinks, countertops, and bathtubs.
Multi-Point Locking Security
Two or three locking points along the sash edge make casement windows significantly harder to pry open from the outside compared to single-latch designs.
Clean, Unobstructed Views
No center rail or meeting rail means your view through a casement is completely uninterrupted — just glass and a slim frame.

Our Installation Process
From the first call to the final inspection — here's how your casement & awning windows project works.
Opening Assessment
We evaluate each window location for clearance (casements need room to swing outward), egress requirements, and hinge-side orientation to ensure the window doesn't interfere with walkways or patios.
Custom Sizing & Hardware Selection
Each window is measured to the exact opening. You choose frame material, glass package, hardware finish, and whether you want a folding or embedded crank handle.
Old Window Removal & Prep
We carefully remove the existing window, inspect the rough opening for rot or damage, and make any necessary repairs before installing new flashing and a sill pan.
Install, Seal & Insulate
The casement or awning unit is set, shimmed, screwed, foamed, and caulked. We test the crank operation, verify the multi-point lock engages smoothly, and check the seal with a smoke pencil.
Trim & Cleanup
Interior and exterior trim is applied or reinstalled, caulking is smoothed, and all debris is hauled away. Each window takes roughly 90 minutes to two hours from start to finish.
