Replace the glass, keep the frame
When your window frames are still solid but the glass is fogged, cracked, or hail-damaged, an IGU-only replacement saves you money without compromising performance.
(945) 229-0300Why choose window glass replacement?
Not every window problem requires ripping the whole unit out of the wall. If your frames are structurally sound and the hardware still works fine, but the glass itself has failed, a glass-only replacement is the smarter move. We remove the old insulated glass unit (IGU), order a new sealed unit built to the exact dimensions and specs of your frame, and install it without touching the surrounding trim, siding, or insulation. The result is clear glass, a restored thermal seal, and a bill that is typically 40 to 60 percent less than a full window replacement.
The most common reason Dallas homeowners call us for glass replacement is seal failure on dual-pane windows. You know it when you see it: a milky haze or condensation trapped between the two panes that you cannot wipe away because it is inside the sealed unit. This happens when the perimeter seal around the IGU breaks down, usually from age, UV exposure, or repeated thermal cycling between 30-degree winter mornings and 100-degree summer afternoons. Once moisture gets between the panes, it is there for good. The only fix is a new IGU.
Hail damage is the other big driver. Dallas averages several significant hail events per year, and even tempered glass can crack under a direct hit from inch-and-a-half stones. When a storm rolls through neighborhoods like Lakewood, Preston Hollow, or Sachse, our phones start ringing before the all-clear sirens stop. We work with homeowners and their insurance adjusters to document the damage, provide detailed line-item estimates, and get replacement glass ordered fast. If you have 5 cracked panes and 20 that are fine, there is no reason to replace all 25 windows. We swap the damaged glass and leave the rest alone.
We stock common IGU sizes for faster turnaround, and custom sizes typically arrive within two weeks. Our glass options include standard dual-pane Low-E, laminated safety glass, tempered glass, tinted glass, and obscure/privacy glass for bathrooms. If your existing frames are vinyl, fiberglass, wood, or aluminum, we can match the new IGU to the glazing system. Most single-pane glass replacements take 30 to 45 minutes per window, and we can handle a full-home glass-only project in a single day.
Key benefits
Save 40-60 % versus full replacement
When your frames are still good, replacing only the glass unit avoids the cost of new frames, hardware, and the labor to tear out and re-trim the opening.
Eliminate foggy, hazy glass
A new sealed IGU restores crystal-clear views and full thermal performance. The condensation between your old panes is gone for good.
Fast turnaround after hail damage
We stock common sizes and can have custom IGUs fabricated in about two weeks. Most glass replacements take under an hour per window, so even a multi-window hail claim wraps up in one day.
Works with insurance claims
We photograph all damage, provide itemized estimates your adjuster can work from, and coordinate directly with your insurance company to keep the process simple on your end.
Upgrade your glass without changing the frame
Want to step up from clear glass to Low-E, or from standard dual-pane to laminated? A glass-only swap lets you upgrade thermal and impact performance in your existing frames.

Our installation process
From the first call to the final inspection, here is how your window glass replacement project works.
Damage and frame assessment
We inspect every window to determine whether the glass, the seal, or the frame is the problem. If the frame is rotted, warped, or structurally compromised, we will recommend a full replacement for that unit instead of wasting your money on glass alone.
IGU measurement and ordering
Each insulated glass unit is measured for exact width, height, thickness, and glazing bead type. We confirm the glass spec (Low-E, tempered, laminated, tinted, obscure) and order the new IGU from our fabrication partners.
Old glass removal
We remove the glazing stops, extract the failed IGU, and clean the sash channel of old sealant and debris. On wood sashes, we check the channel for moisture damage and treat it before the new glass goes in.
New IGU installation
The new sealed unit is set on setting blocks, centered in the sash, and secured with glazing tape or wet-glazed sealant depending on the frame system. Glazing stops are reinstalled and the perimeter is sealed.
Final check and glass cleaning
We verify the seal is tight, test sash operation to make sure the new glass sits properly in the channel, clean both sides of every replaced pane, and haul away all old glass and packaging.
